Sixers may not be favored another game the rest of the year, says betting service

The 76ers, who are riding a 15-game losing streak, have 21 games remaining on their schedule. And according to online betting service, Bovada, the Sixers may not be favored to win a single one of them.

Here's a snippet from a Bovada press release, sent Thursday afternoon:

“After looking at the rest of the schedule for the Philadelphia 76ers, it is possible that they will not be favored in any games for the rest of the regular season. We currently have them projected as small underdogs for their home game against Utah on Saturday. Seeing as Utah is probably one of the weaker teams left on their schedule, and they are still not favorites to win, we think the Sixers may be barking the rest of the season.”

The Sixers host the Jazz Saturday, then travel to New York, before hosting Sacramento. Beyond those three games, only four of their final 18 will be against teams with little to no prospects of a playoff berth.

It's looking bleak for the Sixers, who are five losses shy of matching the franchise record for consecutive losses, and 11 short of the league mark.
