(Times staff / ERIC HARTLINE) |
The 76ers’ Thaddeus Young has
been named Eastern Conference Player of the Week.
Young averaged a
conference-leading 25 points per game on 56.6 percent shooting, which was
ninth-best in the East, in helping the Sixers to a 3-0 mark. He tied for the league
lead with 3.67 steals per game.
“This is the best stretch I
recall having since I’ve been in the league,” said Young, a seven-year vet,
following the Sixers’ morning shootaround.
More on Young’s honor to come
later.
